Custom Conversions

Creating a custom conversion allows you to track and label specific actions taken on specific products or web pages, that cannot be otherwise tracked using Facebook’s standard pre-set conversions, without adding a line of code.


Creating a custom conversion allows you to track and label specific actions taken on specific products or web pages, that cannot be otherwise tracked using Facebook’s standard pre-set conversions, without adding a line of code.

e.g. Purchases of men’s watches over $50.

The two main reasons custom conversions are used are:

  • Organizing and filtering data on your website to further understand your prospects’ behavior
  • Optimizing for better results by laser targeting audiences who are most likely to convert on a custom conversion

To follow along with this tutorial, start by having the Scalify app opened on another tab.

You’ll find the Launch tab on the sidebar. This is where you can create any kind of campaign or audience you want.

Scroll down to find Custom conversions at the bottom right of the page, then click the Create custom conversions button.

Learn how you can create a custom conversion with this quick tutorial.

1. Select one or multiple Offers

In the Offer space, click to select the product or landing page you want to create your conversion based on.

You can select multiple products and multiple landing pages.

2. Choose a Pixel

Select the Pixel you want to fetch data from.

3. Choose an event

Using the drop-down, pick an action you want to track on the products or landing pages you previously selected.

4. Name your custom conversion

Give your conversion a name.

Finally, click on the Create custom conversion button.

To check up on your task creation status, you’ll be redirected to the Tasks tab.

After creating your conversion, you can use it to create new ProspectingRetargetingRetention, and Scaling campaigns that optimize for the actions you care about.

While creating your campaign, in the Ad Set tab, you’ll find the custom conversion you’ve just created in the Conversion Event drop-down.

Selecting the custom conversion will make your ad sets optimize for audiences who are more likely to perform the specific action your chose earlier on the product or landing pages you selected.
